Meet the Artist

Marcia Tuttle

Marcia Tuttle

“My painting studio is located in North Bend, Washington,
the heart of the lush green Pacific Northwest

but my real studio exists in my vivid imagination
where the ideas begin and develop
and call to be created on paper.”

After a highly successful 33 year career teaching elementary school and a second career as a classical pianist, composer and teacher, in 2003, Marcia decided to take her life in another direction.

Coming from a family of artists and musicians it wasn't surprising that Marcia wanted to explore her artistic side. Because she had always been drawn to the lightness and flow of watercolor paintings, she enrolled in a watercolor class. It was as though a door had been opened and the artist within burst forth. After experimenting with various subjects, Marcia realized that painting wildlife is her passion.

Marcia quickly mastered watercolor techniques and soon received the first of many awards. Her Mythical Evolution Series© has brought wide recognition, and her unique animal paintings have been exhibited in a number of national and international shows. A recent segment of FOX TV's news magazine "Better" featured Marcia and many of the art pieces available on this website. Click on the VIDEO tab to view.

Marcia's paintings have been published in the art catalogue of AESTHETICS, Inc. in San Diego, the Texas Food and Leisure Magazine, Daniel Smith Artists' Materials Reference Catalogue, and the National Wildlife Art Association Newsletter.
